On July 9th, Isabel Botero, PE (Black and Veatch), spoke at the ASCE Palm beach monthly luncheon about the C-51 Reservoir Project Phase  1, which won this year’s ASCE Palm Beach Sustainable Project of the Year award. This project included a collaboration between multiple agencies to secure a resilient, sustainable, and cost effective regional water supply. The C-51 reservoir also mitigated freshwater discharge into the Lake Worth Lagoon, enhancing environmental quality and aiding flood control in the Everglades.
